V/Line is a government-owned corporation in Victoria, Australia. It is responsible for the operation of regional passenger train and coach services in the state of Victoria. V/Line trains operate on five main lines, which connect major regional centres with Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria. V/Line coaches operate on a network of regional routes, which connect smaller towns and communities across the state. V/Line also operates a number of bus services in rural and regional areas.
The V/Line network covers over 3,500 kilometres of track and provides services to more than 80 stations across the state. The service operates more than 172 services each weekday, with additional services running on weekends and public holidays.
